"Ancak her girişiminde duvara toslar. Ama en sonunda hiç beklemediği bir gelişme olur. Suudi Arabistanlı bir yatırımcı grubu, Telli’nin kapısını çalar. “Gel bu işi Suudi Arabistan’da yap” derler. Hem fabrika kurulması için gereken kaynağı verecek, hem de uluslararası bir pazarlama ağı kurmak için gereken yatırımı yapacaktır Suudiler. Tek bir şartları vardır. Üretilen otomobil ve motosikletler “Made in Saudi” olacaktır. Telli teklifi kabul eder. Suudi Arabistanlı yatırımcılar Telli’yi özel uçağıyla aldırır. İki saat içerisinde Suudi Arabistan’da oturma izni verilir. Kendisine 35 bin metrekare arazi ve burada kuracağı fabrika için türlü imkân tahsis edilir."
36 Hours In... Istanbul, Istanbul city break guide, The Telegraph
"Turkey’s biggest city is a unique mix of Europe and Asia, ancient and modern, piety and hedonism – and it’s still warm enough to lunch outside, says Terry Richardson."
"It is an excellent time to visit this booming metropolis, standing boldly astride the Bosphorus Strait dividing Europe and Asia. On the best days it’s still warm enough to stroll around the old city’s Byzantine and Ottoman Turkish architectural treasures in shirt sleeves, or sip sweet black tea from a tulip-shaped glass in the open courtyard of a 300-year-old medrese."
"Terry Richardson is the author of The Rough Guide to Istanbul, co-author of The Rough Guide to Turkey, and writes frequently about Istanbul for a well-known English-language Turkish newspaper. He also helps to research and lead trips to Istanbul (and elsewhere in Turkey) for a specialist archaeology/history travel company. Terry has lived in Turkey for the last five years, speaks Turkish and visits Istanbul regularly for both business and pleasure."
"Without a shadow of a doubt, Istanbul – like London, New York or Paris – is one of the world’s great cities. Superbly situated either side of the blue ribbon of the Bosphorus Strait separating Europe from Asia it is, unlike any other city in the world, split between two continents.
The old quarter, with its oriental-fantasy skyline of domes and minarets, and its narrow cobbled streets lined with quaint old wooden houses, lies on a tapering peninsula pointing gravely across the straits to Asia. To the south, the blue waters of the Sea of Marmara glitter invitingly. North, across the graceful curve of the Golden Horn, flicker the bright lights of the pulsating entertainment quarter of Beyoğlu."

"Istanbul has a population of at least 12 million, and half of them seem to descend on the Beyoğlu district on Friday and Saturday evenings to party. From hip rooftop bars and raucous indie clubs to basement jazz cafes and grungy rock bars, and from traditional Turkish folk venues to über-cool dance clubs, Beyoğlu is Istanbul’s good-time heart and soul."

North said he wanted to study why music is such a significant part of people’s identity. “People do actually define themselves through music and relate to other people through it but we haven’t known in detail how music is connected to identity,” he said. “We have always suspected a link between music taste and personality. This is the first time that we’ve been able to look at it in real detail. No one has ever done this on this scale before.”

Nationality: American
Education: Duke University (PhD)
Affiliation: News Night
Profession: Senior Financial Reporter, Adjunct Professor (Columbia University)
"Sloan is recruited for News Night by Executive ProducerMacKenzie "Mac" McHale. She offers Sloan a five minute segment each night to talk about economic issues. Sloan suggests that there are more qualified people that she could recommend but Mac insists that she is the perfect combination of intelligence and good looks, the latter of which will hold viewer attention. Mac also tells Sloan that she would like to be friends because she does not have any in the city. Sloan sympathizes about Mac's break up with anchor Will McAvoy, mistakenly believing that Will cheated on Mac. Mac tries to correct her but is tongue-tied because Will asked her not to discuss the circumstances with their colleagues. Mac later accidentally sends a private e-mail, concerning her break-up with Will and the fact that she cheated on him, to the whole staff. ("News Night 2.0")

"First step in solving any problem is recognizing there is one. America is not the greatest country in the world anymore.
—Will McAvoy
William Duncan McAvoy is the lead anchor on News Night. He became popular by "not bothering anyone" with his news coverage and has been called the Jay Leno of news anchors.
Before he was an anchor, he was a prosecutor and managed a 94% conviction rate. This was a main reason that Charlie hired him to become an anchor for News Night.
In 2010, during a political panel at Northwestern University, he received a great deal of attention after declaring that America was no longer the greatest country in the world, embarking on a profane rant with data to back it up in response to a question from a college sophomore.
He took a two-week break to avoid publicity for his words and returned to work, only to eventually notice that his staff was missing. He discovered that Don Keefer and Elliot Hirsch had convinced the staff to join them in their new show at 10 o'clock.
Will had it out with Don and Elliot, and then was told by Charlie that he'd hired a new executive producer without Will's approval. Will protested the choice of MacKenzie McHale and went to his agent to find out why he didn't have contractual approval for his EP."
"The person behind @WillMcAvoyACN isn’t Jeff Daniels, Aaron Sorkin, or anyone from HBO; it’s a 28-year-old who started the account as a creative writing exercise.
I learned this after sending @WillMcAvoyACN a Direct Message and asking for a phone interview. He agreed to one, but wished to remain anonymous out of “dramatic necessity.” It’s an ironic request, given that McAvoy isn’t one to rely on anonymous sources and has described how much he dislikes online commenters who hide behind anonymity.
“Part of the illusion of the account would be ruined if my actual name and identity were revealed,” said McAvoy, as we’ll call him. “It stops being ‘some guy tweeting as Will McAvoy’ and it just is me tweeting, which takes away some of the charm of the account.”" more

Will and MacKenzie entered a briefing room where they began the meeting with the staff. MacKenzie began presenting her plan on a whiteboard. ("News Night 2.0")
********************************* Camelot (You need to know this)
It was also publicized, just after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (a classmate of Lerner at Harvard),[12] that the show's original cast recording had been favorite bedtime listening in the White House, and that Kennedy's favorite lines were in the final number (in which Arthur knights a young boy and tells him to pass on the story of Camelot to future generations):
Don't let it be forgot That once there was a spot, For one brief, shining moment That was known as Camelot.[13]
The obstacles encountered in producing Camelot were hard on the creative partnership of Lerner and Loewe, and the show turned out to be one of their last collaborations (although they did work together to adapt their 1958 movie "Gigi" to the stage in 1973, and collaborated again the following year on the movie musical "The Little Prince"). Camelot was Hart's last Broadway show. He died of a heart attack in Palm Springs, California on December 20, 1961.[15]"
